Northern Ireland has a thriving life and health sciences sector that benefits from a strong collaborative approach between industry, academia and clinicians.
The region offers expertise across precision medicine, clinical trials and digital health. Northern Ireland also has clinical specialisms within the areas of oncology, cardiology, ophthalmology, respiratory and diabetes.

TURKEY was the country of focus for day three of the exhibition.
Turkey’s healthcare sector and its related industries are considered as strategically important within the country as these industries have economic and social impacts.
As Turkey’s spending on healthcare industry has been increasing, new goods and services are being introduced to the market each year. With the help of reforms, improvements on healthcare sector have been followed by investments in R&D. With this progresses, local manufacturing capacity and export volume have also increased. Medical, surgical, dental appliances, orthopedic appliances and mechano-theraphy appliances are ranked as most exported products from Turkey.
Four speakers from important companies in the sector hosted business sessions about innovative healthcare related products and services.
Tradex-Services hosted the Country Day and the Business Forum at Arab Health 2018 on Day 4.
More than 330 exhibitors from Germany, Austria and Switzerland displayed their products, innovations and services inside the Tradex-Pavilion and invited attendees to visit their stands and professionals. Leading brand manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors were pleased to represent products such as Medical Technology, Laboratory Equipment, Surgical Products and Services, Radiology, Imaging and Diagnostics.
