"The biggest state-run children’s hospital in the northeastern part of the country opened in the shrine city of Mashhad, capital of Khorasan Razavi Province, on Sunday.The 6-storey hospital ‘Akbar Pediatric Hospital’ with 250 beds was constructed at a cost of $12.5 million (500 billion rials).
Around 60% of the cost was met by Sarvar Charity Foundation in Mashhad, said Abdolali Kharazmi, head of the hospital. The hospital established on a land area of 22,000 sq meters has different wards including neurology, pulmonary, oncology and rheumatology. Khorasan Razavi, with a total population of more than six million, has 57 hospitals."
